South Jersey’s Bridgeport Speedway and Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway have joined forces for a lucrative big-block/small-block Modified weekend on September 29-30.

The American Racer ‘Southern Swing Weekend’ offers two high-paying events and a weekend point fund for Modified competitors.

On Friday night (September 29), Georgetown hosts the 30-lap ‘September Showdown’ Modified event with $3,000 going to the winner and $250 just to take the green flag.

Bridgeport swings open the gates on Saturday (September 30) for ‘Dirty Jersey 5’ paying a hefty $5,000 to the winner, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag for 40 laps around the five-eighths-mile oval.

The ‘Dirty Jersey 5’ is Round No. 7 of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP Velocita-USA South Region.

To reward competitors, a $1,500 two-day point fund has been established.

The top-five drivers accruing points from Friday and Saturday nights will share in the following cash: 1) $500; 2) $400; 3) $300; 4) $200; 5) $100. Drivers must be present both Friday and Saturday to be eligible for the money.
