DUANE HOWARD WINS FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL FOR THIRD TIME AT GRANDVIEW, STEVE YOUNG BECOMES 11TH DIFFERENT SPORTSMAN FEATURE WINNER
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 10, 2019 . . . For the third time in his long career Oley. PA’s Duane Howard drove to victory in the 50-lap Forrest Rogers Memorial NASCAR 358 Modified race at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. The win was worth $10,000 to the five time track champion who is currently leading the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified standings.
Finishing second to Howard was Hall of Famer Frank Cozze. Ten time track champ Craig Von Dohren finished third followed by Kenny Gilmore and Kevin Hirthler
Collegeville’s Steve Young became a first time winner and 11th different winner of the season when he topped the field in the 25-lap T.P.Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman feature race.
Brad Brightbill held on to his top spot in the Sportsman point standings finishing second to Young. Brad Arnold came home third followed by Mark Kemmerer and rookie racing talent Parker Guldin.
Next Saturday night, August 17th, the battle for the championship and top point spots continues with the T.P.Trailers NASCAR Modifieds and T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman in action. A full series of qualifying events leads up to a 30-lap feature for the Mods and 25 laps for the Sportsman. All the exciting action is available to fans for just $15 if you are an adult and all those under 12 are admitted free.
