I had the pleasure of attending last night's show at NES and it turned out to be quite an eventful night indeed. First off I want to join with everyone who was there last night and wish the wingless sprint car driver prayers and well wishes and hopes that he is ok. Ironic on first responders nite that a medivac helicopter was summoned and came in a very very short time to take him to the hospital. There was an injury in the pits and another ambulance had to be summoned and that came in a relatively short time as well. The track was table top smooth and we saw great racing. My hats off to NES on how well they ran this show and getting the entire program in what could have easily been up against a curfew. Lastly the announcer made a statement concerning someone who may have lost something to come to the speedway office. I checked my pockets and quickly found out that someone was me. When I went to the office they asked me to describe the item I lost before giving it to me. It was a money clip with bills in it. I didn't even count it but it sure looked like nothing was removed from it. I've always known race fans are the most honorable, patriotic and righteous people in my opinion. I want to thank that good samaritan for doing the right thing. It made my night and I bought a larger number of 50/50's than I usually do with some of it. Your good deed will surely pay you back. 2020 has been by far my worst yr ever after health issues sideline me for more than 18 months. That good deed was great medicine for me last nite.
