Ringoes, NJ – Hot on the heels of the just wrapped up DIRTcar OktoberFast modified series, Auto Racing Research Associates – ARRA -  have put together a recap of all of the Modified series action from the first show at Albany-Saratoga Speedway through the week to the conclusion at the Weedsport Speedway just last night.  Quickly put together to serve as a replacement for the annual Super DIRT Week at the Oswego Speedway, canceled due to the Covid virus, the series was a resounding success and worthy of noting on their popular website.  Anthony Perrego managed to score two main event wins, while Jimmy Phelps, Matt Sheppard and Max McLaughlin scored single feature event wins.  Kings Ferry, NY’s Mike Mahaney scored the most points overall with four podium finishes and a tenth place finish at the Weedsport finale.  You can review the entire series stats here:

;   Also….another exciting addition to the always growing website is the career win list of popular Jim Shampine.  “The Pine” as he was known, mostly garnered success on the paved speedways aboard the highly powerful Super Modifieds, but he was also successful crossing over to the dirt speedways.  You can find Shampine’s career win list on his own page on the website at:

<p> Speaking of the Super Modifieds…….thanks to a host of ARRA’s historians and even with some outside help, ARRA has now managed to research and document the top five feature finishing drivers in just about every single ISMA – International Super Modified Association feature event.  From its start back in 1974 through to this years abbreviated schedule….ARRA needs only to find complete results from only three events over that time span.  The research for those continues.  Anyone interested in viewing those stats can find them at:

ARRA is a group of two dozen motivated historians reaching across the country who research and document the statistics and history of drivers, tracks, traveling racing series and organizations, as well as documenting the stats behind team owners and certain successful cars of the past and single annual events.  They maintain a website featuring all of their research, and invite all to check it out for reliable and trustworthy stats and facts.  Find it at:
