Work was scheduled to start on the speedway this past Friday. First project will be removal of the old stage. Birtwell Armory Agenct along with USAC are overseeing the track redesign and layout. Multi-time USAC champ and race director Levi Jones will have a big part in fine tuning the speedway itself along with all safety aspects. Word had it, some guy named Kyle Larson provided some ideas to Levi while visiting the grounds during Pa. Speedweek. All saftey related projects will follow USAC standards. All involved are discussing blending the new 3/8ths mile clay track with the bigger existing cinder track. The cinder track is to remain for events such as harness racing, demo derbies and figure 8 fair races. No official lineup has been released for 2021's version of USAC Pa. Midget Week but according to those involved, Bloomsburg will have a midget date to go along with their already announced Easter Storm event. The USAC ECS 360s may also have a couple of early season shows to help dial in track prep for all the big open wheel events.
