I must have misunderstood the tri-track series part of the question. Since Flemington and Nazareth were mentioned being gone I thought it ment the series of 100 lap races run in the spring and fall at those two and OCFS. Hard to know in today's world if all theee would have worked together like that year in and year out. Not every team went to all three tracks for those events but quit a few did which always kept it interesting. In my opinion (which counts for nothing), I feel like modified racing suffered a fatal blow when Kuhl paved Flemington and subsequently closed it. Bridgeport never rose to the occasion to take over and Windsor was an animal of its own with rules they ran. New Egypt probably exists and has survived because the two previous mentioned are closed. There used to be a New Jersey state modified point champion years ago. For someone who grew up in southeastern pa it was simple to go to NJ a lot because the best ran weekly there. Pa was as Ernie always promoted them Sportsman-modifieds and NJ ran modifieds. Can't speak of the pa tri-track deal since we didn't see it much. Always remember most of the g'view pics in AARN were of pileups but maybe that's what drew people.
