Taking into consideration, a few speedways in the area are not competing this weekend, speedway management has decided to use our normal heat race qualifying procedure to set the field for the special forty lap main event. If necessary, a ten lap consolation race will round out the twenty four car starting field.
The event will carry with it double points towards the modified title in addition to a larger purse. Joining the Vahlco Wheels modifieds will be the Larry’s Hot Rods & Harleys NEWS sprint cars, open sportsman, and the street stocks. In addition, the John Blewett Inc 4 cylinders have been added to the program.
The five feature program will see the spectator gates swing open at 3:30PM, while the competitors will begin filing into the pit area at 4:00PM. Warmup action begins at 6:00PM with the first qualifying race of the night scheduled for 7:00PM.
Fans are encouraged to come early, grab a bite to eat, and listen to local talent Josh Werner. He will be performing in the turn four area from 4:00PM to 6:00 PM.
Then the stock cars will take a night off as the 4th annual Monster Truck Summer Smash will take center stage at the speedway on Saturday night, August 21st at 7:00PM and Sunday, August 22nd at 3:00 PM. Racing returns in a big way on August 28th as the 2nd annual Ron John Koczon 77 lap Classic will see many top names on hand looking to take home the $7700 first place prize. Sponsorship for this event is available, and again please contact the speedway office for more information.
