(Sept. 21, 2021): The 602 Crate Modifieds will be in action both nights at New Egypt’s All-Star Cup Weekend, Oct. 1 & 2, and will take center stage on Friday night with the running of the first ever “Underdog 20” for non-feature winners at NES in 2021. The event is open to any competitors, including invaders, that have not won at NES in 2021, and will pay $750 to win and $75 to start. All 602 Crate motor seals will be honored for the All Star Cup weekend.

In addition, The “Underdog 20” will offer 2 guaranteed redraw spots in Saturday’s Crate Modified All-Star Cup Race. The first will be awarded to the winner of the “Underdog 20”, the second will be handed out to the event’s hard-charger. This will be the driver advancing the most positions by the finish of the race from their scheduled starting position (In the event of a tie, the driver with the best finishing position will get the spot).

The top 6 non-winners in the 2021 final point standings in attendance, will be guaranteed starters locked into the redraw for the “Underdog 20”. Qualifying Heats & a B-Main will fill the 24 car field.

And the feature winners this season have not been forgotten. These six competitors are invited to race in the 5-lap “Top Dog Dash” paying $150 to win, and offering a 3rd guaranteed redraw spot for Saturday’s All-Star Cup event. The fans in attendance will also be given the opportunity to donate to this Dash, potentially driving the winning share much higher.  The second place finisher will get $100, while third will take home $50.

The Action get underway at 7pm Friday Oct 1 and will also include the open Sportsman and Street Stocks, along with the Vintage cars. Grandstand gates open at 5pm with warm-ups at 6pm.
