Highly Successful ARRA Racing Statistical Website Boasts Amazing Number of Researched Subjects

Ringoes,NJ – ARRA….Auto Racing Research Associates continues to research and document all sorts of auto racing statistics and data to archive them in the ongoing effort to preserve the history of the events, the personalities, the tracks, the series’ and even the cars of our sport of auto racing!

“I knew that we had a ton of information on our website….” quoted ARRA President Fred Voorhees from his ARRA  Research office in his home in Ringoes, NJ “….and it’s like anything else if you don’t pay attention.  Little by little, it grows and before you know it…you have no idea just how big something has become!”

In fact – from the beginning, even before ARRA was officially formed, back in the early to mid 90’s, when ARRA forerunners Fred Voorhees and  Bill Braga Jr. began collaborating together…they had driver career win research projects that numbered around fifteen or sixteen subjects.  Eventually, other historians who served as special contacts for racing stats joined with Voorhees and Braga and eventually, the group of Voorhees, Braga, Bill Hanna, Steve Barrick and Bill Skinner served as the Co-Founders of what would become Auto Racing Research Associates in 2017.  “Good Lord have we grown from there!” exclaimed Voorhees when thinking back to the origins of the group which now boasts a total of thirty seven historians spread across the country and now has moved towards a national in scope project!

“I am blessed with a group of dedicated historians…all with the same goal in mind…To research, document and provide to the racing public, accurate records of our sport…past and present.  Never had any idea that this would grow to such extremes.” Voorhees continued, “But I am quite proud of what we have accomplished and look forward to so much more!  We recently brought another group of guys from points across America into ARRA and a few of them have already jumped into the deep end with submissions of interesting racing files dealing in their particular expertise or knowledge.   I had planned to update the information for our live event display stuff and one of the things that I like to display is the number of individual files in each category of racing stats we have included on our website.  What I found surprised even me!  When all was counted up and totaled…the ARRA website…as of May 1st currently boasts a total of 621 different researched subjects.”

The current totals of the various categories of stats on the website are as follows:

(1)    Drivers – 423

(2)    Tracks – 112

(3)    Racing Series – 56

(4)    Special annual Events – 9

(5)    Particular Cars -  3

(6)    Car Owners – 4

(7)    Odds and Ends – 14

Auto Racing Research Associates is a growing group of thirty seven auto racing historians across the country banded together for the purpose of the research, documentation and displaying of auto racing history such as driver win statistics, as well as track, racing series and organizations histories and also the background of racing personalities, particular cars from the past and various other interesting facts of racing history that should not be forgotten.  ARRA continues to build a network of associated auto racing related websites to unite for better chances of furthering the understanding of the past of our sport.  ARRA offers looking up services for those looking for one particular piece of information from the past.  They are the official statistics information source of the Flemington Speedway Historical Society and have been doing much of the research work for a number of years for the Northeast Dirt Modified Museum and Hall of Fame in Weedsport, NY.    We encourage you to visit our new website if you have not had the pleasure yet.  You can visit our website at: https://sites.google.com/site/arradocumentingracinghistory/
