Agree with you. So let's liven this up.

The good, bad and ugly

36 Mods signed in of which at least 30 were top quality with the majority coming from NY

Since NJ and Pa have essentially no big block racing there were few if any invaders. Can't think of one driver from GV or NES. Understandably, it would be a lot of work and money to get a big block car ready for a handful of races during the year let alone not having much track time to dial it in. I guess having to carry so much momentum thru the highly banked turns makes a SB uncompetitive.

Was expecting a little larger car count but all the heavy hitters were there less Meressca, Wight, Rudolph and the aforementioned GV NES gang

Time trials seemed to go on forever and they still haven't quite figured out how to get that track a little smoother. I do give them credit for putting some water down during the evening as it made the surface very racy for the main. 16 cars scheduled for the consi with 4 to qualify made it a little mini feature

The 75 lap feature was worth every penny. Eying Godown as he moved through the field in the early going from 10th was a treat to watch. And, before anyone starts the trash talking, he did it with some clean, aggressive moves. From there it was hammer down for the full 75 with the leaders getting into lapped traffic within laps of any restarts. The real show was the last 10 laps or so with all the sliders and crossovers in turn 3 among the leaders. First Paush jr, in the 15, trying it on Godown for several laps and then Friesen picking them off with that smooth dive down low into 3. Hats off to him. Last 3 laps between Godown and Friesen were terrific with neither giving an inch and I think if Friesen had a lap or two more he would have won. He was the faster car. Also hats off to Pauch jr who finished 3rd. All in all a great night of racing

1) Godown, 2) Friesen, 3) Pauch jr, 4) Williamson, 5) Mclaughlin (fast qualifier), 6) Krachun, 7) Britten, 8), Gular, 9) Decker (consi), 10) Phelps (consi)
