With one of the top small car payouts based on car counts in the country,sponsors are continuing to step up to support the fine racers at the Race Track by the River,Shellhammer Dirt Track.
"The Other Track" as it's been called by some,is continuing to present 3 and 4 wide racing on the smooth,tacky surface which has averaged 108 entries so far this season.
Sponsors continue to see the promise and popularity of the racing at Shellhammer's and for the next 2 weeks the Junior Slingshots will seeing added monies to some of their payouts.
The June 1st special awards will be $50.00 to the Junior Slingshot Hard Charger from Zimmer Processing.If there are 2 drivers with the same # of advancements,announcer Mike Feltenberger is adding $30 for a $80 split.
J & J Auto is stepping up with $25 to each Junior Slingshot qualifying heat winner.
Louie Horvath will be giving the last running Junior $25.00 for his time on the speedway during their main event.
June 8th will have Hillside Concrete & General Contracting rewarding the Junior Slingshot Hard Charger with $50.00.Again Mike again will add $30 if there is a place advancement tie.
Additional Lucky Wristband Concession Stand Voucher sponsors this week are Joe Adams Lettering and Elite Business Solutions.
So after just 6 weeks of racing,23 sponsors have stepped up to reward the fans and race teams for their support of the Wingless Weds. racing at the high banked 1/8th mile located 1 mile north of Leesport,Pa.
