Shellhammer Dirt Track's big event ,the Golden Hammer, is quickly approaching with the July 6th date getting quite a bit of attention from race teams, race sponsors and fans.
The 5 division card has some of the biggest payouts for total laps run with sponsors adding $625 to various special awards with more looking to join in on the festivities.
The 600 micros will be running for the $1000 top prize with the 270's,125,All Star Slingshots and Junior Slingshots wheeling and dealing for the $750 1st place envelope.
Time trials will lock in the top 10 600's with qualifying heats lining up the next 14 spots.A Cash dash will line up the top 10.
All other classes will have qualifying heats with the top 10 redrawing for their A Main starting spot.
Already one of the highest paying small car tracks in the country,the added $$$ will attract quite a few invaders.
Shellhammer's is located 1 mile north of Leesport,Pa right off of St. Rt 61 and 5 miles south of Int 78 (Hamburg exit)
