103 Entries and a 9:45 Checker Reward Teams and Fans

The 1st main event set the tone for the rest of the evening as the 3 car battle in the Stage 1 Mod main was a crowd pleaser.CJ Fritz,Bryce Dodig and Mike Glass were under a blanket for 12 laps following an 8 car tangle on lap 1 that saw many of those cars pull away and rejoin the field.A lap 14 restart had Dodig stay on the high side to get around Fritz with Glass still in the hunt.A late race yellow resulted in a single file restart and Dodig held his ground to take the win over Fritz and Glass.Mark Mohr got by last race winner Stephen Smith III for the 4th place payout with Smith holding on for 5th.Improving 7 spots was 6th place runner Lawson Szerencits with Alexandra Allaico-Cushman 7th and A J Gerhart rebounding from the lap 1 incident to get 8th.

Some early race cautions slowed up the 270 micro main, but once things got going it was the Louden Reimert,Matt McAnally show with Ben Layser and Richie Hartman joining in the fray.Laps were quickly clicking off and a new challenger was making progress from his 11th starting spot as Adam Buchel used some lowside moves to get by both Layser and Hartman in the waning laps.Jeffrey Confer found some late race speed to also get by Layser at the line.Reimert took his 7th win of the season followed by McAnally,Buchel,Hartman,Confer and Layser.Putting the finishing touches on the top 8 was a good showing by Zach Young for 7th and Matt Hoffman rebounding from some early evening woes to get 8th.

A strong 17 car Junior Slingshot field also had some early race slowdowns as Chase Schott and Hailey Eroh had a front running battle of the # 10 hot rods.Ryder Miller added to the mix along with Barry Seaman and a hard charging Ryan Rochelle.Griffin Hendershot mad up 3 spots in the last 5 laps as hard luck hit the 7th place running Colton Williams who slowed to an 11th place finish giving the spot to the 74 of Holly Delong.Schott took the victory over Eroh with Rochelle getting 3rd and some good runs by Miller and Seaman to get 4th and 5th.Hendershot claimed 6th place money ahead of Delong as Parker Hendricks and teammate Abi Hendricks battled to the end for 8th with the spot going to Parker.

Jase Smith brought the 125 micro field to the green and John Maurer wasted no time claiming a spot he would take to the checkers in getting his 3rd win of the year. The mad scramble behind him wasn't decided until the cars crossed under Dave Cordier,Jr. flag.A J Gerhart brushed off the advances of Chase Layser, who just passed Chris Dolan and Jase Smith on the last lap to get3rd.Dolan held on for 4th with Jase Smith 5th.Shane Davis worked some last lap magic to get by Jesse Smith for 6th as Dave Schroeder put his # X ride home,8th.

It took 3:28 for Brett Bieber to win a nonstop All Star Slingshot main with current point leader Lindsey Garl trying everything in her racing arsenal to get by.Bieber got through a few of the slower cars easier giving him the advantage at race's end.3rd place runner Jax Yohn got by Luke McCloskey with 2 to go,but ran out of laps to catch the leaders.McCloskey held off the charges of expectant father Patrick O'Brien for 4th.Both Jason Dunkleberger and Nolen Layser overtook last race winner Tucker Cole in the late stages of the 20 lapper to get 6th and 7th.

3 wide heaven struck the 600 micros as Brandon Azzalina and Jordan Tittle were inseparable until a lap 8 caution slowed the field. On the restart Azzalina slide high allowing Tittle the lowside pass but a yellow was waving before another lap could be completed causing a complete restart and voiding Tittle's efforts.Azzalina found the groove and set said for his 1st 2022 win at Shellhammer's with Tittle getting 2nd.There were quite a few drivers joining the action with Trevor Kobylarz up to 3rd as Dakota Barlet,Richie Hartman,Jackson White and Alex Ruppert left nothing to lose. These 5 were now seeing a #10 attending their private party with Adam Buchel finding some incredible bite on the lowside of the speedway.Azzalina and Tittle were the top 2 with 3rd through 7th separated by just 1 second.Hartman was 3rd,White 4th,Ruppert from 13th to 5th,Buchel getting the 6th place money over Barlet as Kobylarz had some late race handling issues pushing him back to 8th.

Racing was top notch, over at 9:45 with quite a few newcomers impressed with the track surface and well run racing program.

600 winner Brandon Azzalina said a payout, this place is incredible.

A quick shout out to the great folks at the concession stand as the chili, cheese dogs won the praise of many in attendance last night.
