It was Fan Appreciation Night at the Race Track by the River with 109 entries treating the fans to some great fall weather racing.
Taking wins last night were Chase Schott getting his 7th Junior Slingshot win of the season over 7 time winner Ryan Rochelle and 5 time winner Colton Williams and being crowned the point champion.
John Maurer was the winner of the 20 lap 270 micro main collecting $500 for his efforts.It was Maurer's 5th win of the year.Chris Dolan was the point champion watching the action from the infield after an early race DNF.Chase Layser was 2nd in points with A J Gerhart 3rd.
Colin Cox's late race pass on Bryce Dodig rewarded him with the Stage 1 modified win with a nice 19 car field on hand.A J Gerhart was the point king in the S1 house car,followed by Bryce Dodig and Mike Glass
It was win # 9 for Louden Reimert in the 270 micros with Richie Hartman named the champion over Matt McAnally and Adam Buchel.Reimert was 5th in points for his efforts.
A battle of the All Star Slingshot's top 2 in points had Jax Yohn getting his 3rd win over 4 time winner and 2022 titlest Lindsey Garl.Yohn would get 2nd in points over 4 time winner Tucker Cole.
Richie Hartman,a DNFon lap 12 had 8 stressful laps to watch Adam Buchel try to get by leader Trevor Kobylarz in his attempt to get the win and overtake Hartman for the title.Buchel's efforts came short with Kobylarz getting the win and Hartman the 600 micro crown by just 5 points over Buchel with Kobylarz getting 3rd with the win.
The fans were treated to some rewards for their support of the speedway.Drivers Trevor Kobylarz,Jase Smith and Tyler Bowman handed out team merchandise.Jimbo's Gutters donated four "Fan 4 Packs" containing 4 passes to a 2023 Wingless Weds show,a $25 concession stand voucher and a Jimbo's Gutters t-shirt.
Low Down Entertainment presented a lucky fan with a 2023 Wingless Weds season parking spot that was then complimented with the addition of a 2023 grandstand season pass . Shellhammer Dirt Track also rewarded a fan with a 2023 season pass as well as 10 2023 opening day passes to 10 lucky fans and 10 $10 concession stand vouchers to 10 more lucky fans.
