Glen Ridge Speedway joins the ARRA researched track roster
Ringoes,NJ – The historians of ARRA, Auto Racing Research Associates continue to grind out researched, documented and verifiably accurate racing statistics in their on-going quest to build a comprehensive reference oriented statistical powerhouse of information. Just today, two more pages have been added to the ever growing website. Legendary NJ based asphalt modified driver Tony Siscone celebrates his birthday and while that takes center stage in his life today, a side bonus is that his successful career behind of the wheel of asphalt racing machines is celebrated with his own page on the ARRA website, making for a permanent and accurate accounting of his long career of thrilling paved track racing fans! Fultonville, NY’s Glen Ridge Motorsports Park is the latest track to join the ARRA website, having its complete history, beginning back in 2004, documented for reference by the media and enjoying entertainment for fans.
Beginning his driving career in 1972, young Tony Siscone could not have had any idea of just how successful and popular he would become while racing in circles! However, over a career spanning 24 seasons, Tony would run to success at tracks such as Atlantic City, Evergreen, New Egypt and Wall Stadium, the NJ shore facility that he made his bread and butter at. The retired school teacher went on to celebrate success quite regularly and wound up his career at the famed Flemington Speedway, capping off his career with a glorious win in the season ended and lucrative 250 lap Race of Champions driving the Dick and Robert Barney #14. Siscone would announce his retirement then and there in victory lane. He went out a big time winner! Fultonville, NY’s Glen Ridge Motorsports Park is a gem of a racetrack, hidden out in the country along the Mohawk River, the river that runs hard along the backstretch of another New York State gem of a racetrack, the Fonda Speedway. The two are not far from one another. Glen Ridge was brought to life back in 2004 and has seen exciting weekly racing action and has seen such champions as Bobby Varin, Rocky Warner and Kenny Tremont grace its tracks winners circle.
