New Egypt, NJ (March 30, 2023): This Saturday, popular radio host Bill Spadea will attend the New Egypt Speedway opener to meet with fans and wave the first green flag. The event will kick off the second act of Grosso family management at the 7/16th mile D-shaped oval.
The New Jersey 101.5 morning drive host and Mercer County resident says he can't wait to be a part of the action on Saturday April 1st alongside what is anticipated to be the largest opening night crowd in years.
"Bill's compassion and advocacy for small business owners in our state and his previous morning topics on racing in New Jersey make him a perfect fit to welcome our drivers, crews, and fans," said New Egypt Speedway operator Rick Grosso.
Besides being the top-rated morning drive host in New Jersey, Bill Spadea is also the founder and managing partner for two film production companies, a former host on FOX Television, and leader of several advocacy and educational groups fighting for parents' rights, along with making New Jersey more affordable and small business friendly.
He is a former U.S. Marine and an outspoken advocate for police, firefighters, nurses and teachers. He's been married to his wife Jodi for 28 years with two grown children and has been on the New Jersey airwaves since 2013.
The first green flag will wave at 6pm this Saturday, April 1 highlighted by the Cabin Fever 40 for the Modifieds paying a cool $4500 to win. They will be joined by the 602 Crate Sportsman, the Northeast Wingless (NEWS) Sprint Cars, the 4-cylinders and the Rookie Sportsman.
