ShellHammer's Cancels For April 5th.  

Dave and Bremda Cordier have decided to cancel the racing festivities for April 5th.It is not what they wanted to happen with 128 pre-entries,but they were putting the race teams at the forefront of the decision.

The pit area is still feeling the effects of the recent storms and the close proximity to the river has left unsafe conditions for cars,crew members and the possibility of trailers getting stuck due to ground wetness.As of this writing there is some misting at the speedway.

Upon prepping the track yesterday for tonight's racing program,the grader sunk 8 inches into the clay and Dave did not want a soft spot causing cars to be launched ,causing damage to their car and maybe others.

A complete overhaul of the surface and pit area using a steamroller is currently being worked on by Dave.
