As President of ARRA Auto Racing Research Associates, I would again like to issue an invitation to any racing fans out there who may have an interest in joining our group of historians to help in our mission to research and document our sport so that its rich history does not get lost over time. Its very satisfying work if you love the sport! The pay absolutely sucks! In fact, it pays zippo! But the thankfulness shown by grateful fans, and you WILL receive thanks for your work...makes the work worth it. And you will be helping to cement the history of our sport even further!
Through the generous donations of no longer needed/wanted racing newspapers by racing fans all over the Northeast, I am able to supply not one, but two new historians with complete collections of AARN all the way back to 1970 or earlier! That's over fifty years of racing research data source and a new historian can fully research any current driver and many tracks and organizations. Our historians are all willing to lend a hand with pointers on how best to go about researching, provide information on additional avenues of research data and any other question you may have about getting started in researching our great sport.
