Sonny Hutchins Lives on as ARRA Documented Driver

Ringoes, NJ – There are plenty of auto racing legends from the past hard scrabble days of toiling across the nation barnstorming the country fairgrounds and local bullrings.  Born in 1929 and living in Richmond, Virginia…Hutchins worked his way up the late model sportsman ranks, winning enough to earn a ride in the national NASCAR Winston Cup division from 1955 to 1974.  Hutchins passed away in 2005.  Now…..ARRA, Auto Racing Research Associates historian Larry Jendras honors Hutchins with his own page after he researched and documented Sonny’s career and it is now memorialized on the ARRA statistical website with his own page.

On Hutchins’ career and the success he enjoyed behind the wheel, Jendras had this to relay, “He had a nice career especially since he had a 5 year break to run his business. Although not travelling a lot he won at over 20 tracks.”

Hutchins is one of the latest drivers to be researched and documented by ARRA’s crack staff of knowledgeable and talented historians and joins a plethora of top flight driving stars, local and national who have gotten their own page on the ARRA website.  Race fans looking to view the new page on Sonny Hutchins can take a look here:  https://sites.google.com/site/arracarsdriversevents/home/sonny-hutchins

Auto Racing Research Associates is a growing group of over forty auto racing historians across the country banded together for the purpose of the research, documentation and displaying of auto racing history such as driver win statistics, track, racing series and organizations histories and also the background of racing personalities, particular cars from the past and various other interesting facts of racing history that should not be forgotten.  ARRA continues to build a network of associated auto racing related websites to unite for better chances of furthering the understanding of the past of our sport.  ARRA offers looking up services for those looking for one particular piece of information from the past.  They are the official statistics information source of the Flemington Speedway Historical Society and have been doing much of the research work for a number of years for the Northeast Dirt Modified Museum and Hall of Fame in Weedsport, NY.
