Dunn Did It!!  Billy Dunn Gets His Page on ARRA Website!!

Ringoes,NJ – The Auto Racing Research Associates racing statistical website continues to grow by leaps and bounds with the addition of yet another recognized Northeast dirt track modified driver in the form of Watertown, NY’s Bill Dunn gaining a page documenting his winning career!  The 2013 Super DIRT Week Modified champion has put together an impressive career to date and it was his time to find his way to having a page documenting his winning ways.

“I have to say…” mentioned ARRA President Fred Voorhees in completing the research project that came up quickly and was completed within a week’s time, “….Billy was one of the most helpful and enthusiastic drivers I have worked with in my research over the years.”  The late Teddy Christopher and Stewart Friesen were also very helpful and contributed to the workings of putting their career stats together.  I really appreciate that and it makes my job that much easier overall.”

Getting his feet wet in the IMCA modified division back in the early 2000’s….he quickly moved to the modified division and found a home in victory lane at the Can-Am Speedway where he took up residence for a total of 67 times thus far.  A stalwart of the Small Block Modified division….Dunn made it known that he was equally a force to be reckoned with in the full bore big block modified ranks when he stunned the Northeast in taking down the annual biggie, the DIRT Week 200 lap modified feature at the New York State Fairgrounds in 2013, putting him in some respectable company.

“I am really proud of the growth that ARRA has exhibited over the past few years and it just continues to grow thanks to the efforts of some of our historians.” Voorhees chimed in as he talked about the newest addition to the massive website chock full of racing statistics across the country.  “This stuff was nothing that I envisioned back in the mid 90’s when I simply decided to document the winning career of local driver Billy “The Kid” Pauch in preparation for his eventual 500th career feature win.  But when myself and Co-Founding historian Bill Braga Jr. joined forces to begin researching driver histories together…the die was cast and ARRA was hatched.  Billy Dunn represents still another driving star that needed his career cemented down in the record books!”
