KRAUSE BREAKS WHITE CAR JINX WITH WALL MODIFIED WIN

WALL ~ After suffering through several misfortunes over the past two seasons with a new car with a white and orange color scheme, driving champion Andrew Krause broke what he called the white car's “jinx” by winning the 40 Modified stock car feature race at Wall Stadium Speedway Saturday night. It was his first win of the young 2024 campaign.

Krause wrestled with Manahawkin's Jake Nelke  early in the test before charging to the front. With just a few cautions slowing the event, Krause then kept Jackson's Blake Barney and defending champion Derek Hopkinson of Milltown in his rear view mirror. Bryan O'Shea of Neptune City drove Krause's team car to a fourth place finish while Tyler Truex of Mayetta was fifth.

Shanon Mongeau of Island Heights charged through the pack and raced into the lead with an outside lane pass just past halfway to win the companion 25 lapper for the Factory Stocks, Early leader Ryan Bilello of Howell was the runner-up. Jared Okerson, Scott Riggleman and Bob Anderton were third through fifth.

Mike Alcaro of Milford took the lead on lap four and raced on to win the Legend Cars 25 lapper over Ryan Kulthau of Howell. Bryan Gardella, Nate Divone and Justin Emmons wrapped up the top five.

Mike Lavery of Orangeburg, NY fought off Wall's TJ Graves amd Alonzo Morales to win the Fast 4 25-lapper, while Ray Minieri won the Limited Late Model 25-lap race over Brian Doyle, Mike Tillett, James Moorman and Pat Brown.
