Chasin The Dream - On a Shoestring  

Something a little different was added to the ARRA website today. Not a researched driver or track. Not an in-depth look at any racing series or organization...or particular car or car owner. Still, it was a look back at our sport. A look at a situation that to this day and probably forever, will haunt readers who aspire to get on the competition side of the track fencing. I penned a real life story about an individual who wanted to make that jump past the fence, but his dream of competing in stock car racing .....despite guts and grit and desire, could not overcome the lack of funding. Its a woe that was common back then in the 60's and remains a part of modern day racing dreams these days. I present to you, a story of desire, willingness and gumption that was derailed because of finances.
