At the risk of being coined a basher, for a Deyo STSS promoted show this was one of the worst in my opinion. There were alot of no show teams which has nothing to do with Mr Deyo.  The track was pretty rough all nite, but far and away the worst thing of all for me was the indescribably long wasted time for  a  tuesday nite show. For reasons I can't fathom they started to what the Penn Can powers that be call track "prep" before the Modified redraw which took place behind the starters stand.  45 plus minutes later the 2 consolations were lined up waiting and finally had to come out to help  run the track in they overwatered. They were out there so long the teams hadda refuel to make sure they had enough fuel to run the consi's.  It would have been a mild consilation if all that "prep" had made the track any better.  The Flo broadcast was blurred as well.  Once Sheppard passed Stew I shut it down.  I realize stinker nites happen in this sport, but its a very rare for a Deyo event to be a stinker like this one was. Needless to say I won't be putting Penn Can on my bucket list anytime soon

Valid points about this race. However one thing I would  like to add is that the orginal date was up against  Grandview triple 20's and a DIRT race. To be honest there would have been many teams not showing including Friesen  and Sheppard who both showed for this race.

I almost added that the 44 drew front row again, but after thinking about it, he can't help his uncanny luck this tear drawing and in a fifty lap race he would be up front anyway no matter where he starts.  I kinda knew when Sheppard came from the back in the heat race and ran him down it was gonna be his night. Sheppard blew right by him early on in the feature before the 44's suspension issues. I'm not a fan of either of them but for the most part from what I have seen of them they seem to race others clean compared to some other drivers I won't mention.

I agree with some points, but the dust at Penn Can is rediculous and they wanted to do all they can to help it. On the other hand, I understand 100% that the live streaming is a huge part of racing now and I participate and enjoy each, but to comment on dust conditions when you are sitting on your couch it's a bit rediculous. It was only done to help the fans there, I was there and not really sure how well it worked, but oh well, they tried.

Please, next time, if you're going to bash, at least tell us how you took in the event first, so I don't waste my time reading "armchair" bashing, you're pretty good at that.

Call me a basher thats fine, I do wanna thank Flo for giving me a preview of a track i now have zero interest in going to.  It has nothing at all to do with dust. Flemington and Grandview were both dustbowls but the racing and track prep crews were far better than what I saw at the Can.  Watching water trucks and track vehicles pack for almost an hour is a bridge to far for me.  A snoozer show any way you wanna slice it.  The racing wasn't half bad.
