I guess Bridgeport is not running tonight? Haven't seen any bad weatherr reports, and have not had a report on my phone that they cancelled, but can't find anywhere they are running. I saw that NES cancelled the Monster truck show.

Bridgeport, Big Diamond and Action Track may EASILY gave the worst public relations department in ALL of local dirt track racing. If you're not a 15 year old  girl on FB, you really NEVER know what's going on at any of these venues. I'm of the belief that if they don't want to post  about upcoming events or post results, than they really don't want me there. Haven't been to any of these tracks In quite along time.

Easiest way to know Bridgeport cancelled is when they disappear from the FloRacing calendar.

I think we need to stop the PR bashing. This is very simple to understand.

Each track has a website:

bigdspeedway.net , bridgeportmotorsportspark.com and actiontrackusa.com

Each website contains all of the information and you can click on the facebook link, which by the way, you can read all of the facebook info without an account!

Also, have you visited Big Diamond's website? It is very well done and updated constantly. If you don't want to click on the facebook link then you can always call the track at the phone number listed on the WEBSITES!

There you go. You're welcome.

So you're saying as an internet public relations expert that I should only visit Mets.com or Yankees.com to find out the score of the game? That it wouldn't be a smart "public relations" move to post results, recaps, and schedule changes on a popular website that many of your fans visit? Do Grandview and New Egypt have websites? Rule number 1 to remember is that people are lazy and if they have to search for information they just might find something else to do.

Sorry, But I disagree from the fans point of view.

(Example)  Not really looking to attend a race soon.  I go to my daily look ups.  Three Wide and South Jersey Dirt and I see the a facility has taken the time to post a release and the event interests me.  I was not looking to attend, but now I see an interesting event by chance.  I get to enjoy an outing and the track enjoys my hard earned dollars.

(Example) I keep looking for the Bridgeport's Friday night small track results in a search engine and come up with nothing.  The reason?  The Track is not called Little Bridgeport or something along those lines, it is called "Spirit Auto Center Speedway".  The average fan has no idea that is what it is called.

You are a promoter or business person and you think the consumer is supposed to find you?  A post on these boards is free and is a missed opportunity. Advertising is big business and is normally expensive.

Thank you to South Jersey Dirt Racing for allowing me this forum to express my view.

To Internet 101 and all of the forum readers, enjoy your racing.

Tom

Exactly Tom !! Finally ! Somebody else gets it. If you have access to FREE advertising , why not take advantage of it ?  Sheer laziness or simply not giving a damn about the fans because the bills are getting paid now. Danny Serrano knew how to do it! Brett Deyo knows how to get it done. Hell, even Grandview speedway takes advantage of using multiple websites to post results and let us know if upcoming events.

If your still using a message board for the latest information you need to catch up with the rest of the world. I was never one to use facebook much until March 2020. Now I use it a lot for racing info. It is so easy to join a tracks facebook page and get cancelation notices as soon as it happens and the weekly postings of the upcoming weeks schedule. Most post results only minutes from completion. And for those who like insane commentary from nut jobs there are countless race fan groups to join.

Problem with F Book is you go to find racing stuff and then spend 45 minutes looking at crap from your friends wedding, a bad Trump parody, some stupid pet thing, another stupid pet thing, a request for money, blah, blah, blah. I want racing events and schedules, etc., at my finger tips and SJDR Message board can provede that without all the other crap!

Ain't that the truth! I get on Spacebook and space out. My ADD takes over and I wasted a lot of time and didn't accomplish much.
