The quality of the Modiified field sure seems to have fallen off even compared to the first year at Oswego. All the DIRTCar stars are there, of course, but the overall depth of the fielld seems a bit wanting, IMO.

Guess we will find out who the STSS supporters are tonight since the 150 @ Oswego is now a night time race.It has turned into a race just for the New Yorkers since 95 % of the drivers entered were announced as being from NY.There just seems to be not enough places for a driver with mechanical issues to pull off.Yellow after yellow for cars just coming to a stop on the speedway.

I know alot of fans and drivers hated the mile, I for one loved it. At least you knew what problems there would be year to year at Syracuse. From some photos i've seen of Oswego, it looks like they only put down 6 to 8 inches of clay so the results of holes and pavement showing should not surprise anyone. Word has it at least one team loaded up and went home due to conditions and others didnt bother to run their heats. They did flip a dumptruck while laying down the clay a few weeks ago as well if you are into omens.
