Total Cooperation Leads To Well Run Show.

With 100 cars registered on the hottest night of 2022,everyone came prepared for an enjoyable night on the high banks. Both Slingshot classes came not wanting to see the yellow flag and they virtually didn't as only 4 cautions slowed down 60 A Main laps of racing.

The July 13th make up for the Junior Slingshots was a battle to the end as the Hendershot / Williams show was being presented right down to the checkered as early race leader Griffin Hendershot had to ward off all challenges from Matthew Laubach,Daniel Betz and Colten Williams.Griffin and Colten battled hard for 4 laps until the 911c took the lead.Pack racing was clean and green as Parker Hendricks,Chase Schott and Dylan Hahn were having their own battle.Hard luck struck 6th place runner Ryder Miller who pulled to the infield on lap 13.Miles Zehner and Ryan Rochelle were heading through the field until the checkered slowed their progress.Williams took the $500 1st place money with Hendershot 2nd,Betz 3rd.Rounding out the top 8 were Laubach,Schott,Hahn,Zehner and Rochelle.1 caution on lap 11 was needed.

The All Star Slingshots were literally flying as Jax Yohn and Brett Bieber were racing 2 wide for 5 laps before the 32 of Bieber prevailed coming out of turn 2.Lindsey Garl was quickly making it a front running trio as laps clicked off.It was anyone's guess who the next 5 finishers would be and Nolen Layser and Tucker Cole would not decide 4th until lap 19.Alex Lagun passed 3 cars in the late going to slot in for 6th just ahead of Nate Freed and Dan Lane,Jr.Bieber returned to victory lane just ahead of Yohn and Garl.Cole got 4th over Layser.Lagun,Freed and Lane,Jr. rounded out the top 8. Again, just 1 caution on lap 16.

It was an early race 3 widefest as Matthew Warner,Dan Lane,Jr. and Richie Hartman had 3 solid trips around the speedway with Lane ,Jr. assuming command on lap 5.Hartman brought out and early race yellow and watching him march through the field was a show in itself. The next driver on the radar was Trevor Kobylarz, who had found a groove no one else was trying as he successfully passed 3 cars in 2 laps until the yellow was needed for a disabled Dakota Barlet, who was running 5th at the time. All eyes focused on the "G" man Geezer Fanelli as him and Adam Buchel were going to battle for 5th right down to the finish. It was Lane,Jr. over Warner.Kobylarz getting 3rd,Hartman rallied back for 4th as Buchel got by Fanelli for 5th.Trent Warner and Matt McAnally slotted in for 7th and 8th.2 yellows slowed down another fine A Main on the high banks.

The PA Micro Midgets invaded Shellhammer's and their top 5 after 20 laps was Tanner Pressley over Todd Walls by .4 seconds.AJ Barton was 3rd,Haydin Ort 4th and Dakota Janney getting 5th.

Time for the 270's to shine and there was no denying Richie Hartman his 4th win of the season as Matt McAnally who was giving everything he had to get by Hartman spun on lap 16.This would set up one incredible 4 lap span where no spot was safe until the race was completed.Josh Patterson had his 02 on rails in those 4 laps to withstand the advances of Jarrett Imler and  an all out effort from Matt Hoffman who barrelled through the field from his 14th starting spot.Getting into the fray was Dylan Kuryona and Jeffrey Confer.Hartman won with Patterson and Imler 2nd and 3rd.Hoffman had a solid 4th with Confer 5th.It was Kuryona in for 6th as Dakota Barlet, who brought out a mid race yellow regrouped to finish 7th as Ben Layser got 8th.

The regular Junior Slingshot feature went off quite smoothly as Ryan Rochelle,Matthew Laubach and Chase Schott pulled away from the field.Early night winner Colten Williams was again making a run to the front but was a DNF on lap 4.Rochelle was distancing himself from the pack and the Schott / Laubach battle raged on until a spin by Laubach on lap 17 slowed the pace. Some good racing midpack to the finish had some positions swap in the last 2 laps.It was Rochelle,Schott and Hendershot as the top 3.Ryder Miller got 4th ahead of Dylan Hahn.Aubrey Romig had her 35a running well for a nice 6th place payout.Daniel Betz narrowly got 7th over Holly Delong.

The 125's had an early jaunt to the front for A J Gerhart and there wasn't anyone that was going to keep the 44g from victory lane as Shane Davis had late race speed to close in on Gerhart but simply ran out of time as he just took 2nd from John Maurer with the white flag waving.Maurer was 3rd.A nice run for Easton Miller to get a top 5 finish of 4th.Jesse Smith claimed 5th.6th ,7th and 8th were right down to the wire as Cooper Schoenly had the 67 just ahead of Sam Borger and a hard charging Chris Dolan who was involved in a late race scuffle.

The rained out PA Micro Midget main was won by Tanner Pressley.

The 11 heats, 8 A Main night was completed in 3 hours.with the final checkered at 10:02.Great night of racing, fantastic cooperation from all race teams.
