So when is Susky/BAPS going to announce the return of the 358 modifieds?

I wwas wondering if this is a good idea. The last 358 race had like 14 cars. What kind of car counts can be expected?

Twenty-five years ago, there were a ton more cars around and lots more fans going to races weekly -- and Modifieds at Susky didn't work then. Almost all of the teams that were based out that way in the '90s are gone.

Modifieds weekly at Susky are not suddenly going to work now, even if Grandview does not reopen.

back then susky had the best small block field on a sat nite.good fan base then track was sold to  vince vicari and it went down hill from there. dont think modifieds would work weekly now.if they did i would be there because susky is a good track for modifieds.

I would love for mods to run at susky. However I have to agree that i think they would have a hard time getting the cars there If you look at the home town of most of the drivers who went to Grandview they were in the vicinity of a short haul to the track. Are they going to be willing to haul their cars 90 miles? I am more interested in what these drivers are going to do. Diamond on Friday? Bridgeport on Saturday? New Egypt? I would prefer Susky out of all these options but will the drivers?

Not to mention the fact that Susky/BAPS already has a well established headline division in the super sportsmen that has a niche but loyal following. The track is basically a new version of Silver Spring. Highly doubt they would abandon that or run two headline classes.

I would bet that more than half of them will sell out.  that's what happened at Nazareth and Flemington
