ARRA - Auto Racing Research Represented in California Historian Roundtable

Ringoes, NJ - ARRA – Auto Racing Research Associates were well represented this weekend by two of its historians, Thomas Schmeh and Jim Thurman who were guests at a racing historian round table at the Woodland Auto Display at the Estrella Warbird Museum in Paso Robles, California.  Dick and Claudia Woodland, coordinators of the auto display welcomed Tom and Jim to sit in with other notable auto racing historians in including Schmeh and Dick Woodland front row and Harold Osmer, Thurman, John Redican and Dave Wolin back row.  The library & research center there is fast becoming second-to-none as THE West Coast racing archive. Today it includes personal scrapbooks and photos from Johnny Boyd, the Bill Vukovich family, Marge (& Bruce) Bromme and Earl Stubbs amongst others. As the late Chris Economaki would have said, ‘Take a bow, Dick & Claudia!’ Thank you to both Tom and Jim for representing ARRA on the West coast!!

ARRA has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years….with over 700 subjects researched and documented and offered for informational resources to the sport and have been used in tv and radio broadcasts, as well as a continuous source of reliable and documented racing statistics by racing media on a weekly basis.  Tom and Jim are part of that success...as is all of the over forty historian members of Auto Racing Research Associates!
