ARRA Continues to “Cover the Country” as Two More California Tracks are added to Site

Ringoes, NJ – Auto Racing Research Associates – ARRA, continues to spread its coverage of statistics of race tracks across the country as ARRA historian Jim Thurman of California just recently submitted some history on two more California facilities from the past.  The Loyola Stadium and Emeryville Speedways become the 193rd and 194th different speedways to garner their own pages, detailing what historian Thurman could piece together from the speedways from back in the 30’s.  The group of auto racing historians, reaching now over 40 members, are looking forward to a landmark point in its history, when it will include its 200th speedway for inclusion on their award winning website!

“Historian Jim Thurman isn’t new to submitting racing stats from his neck of the woods from out on the West coast.”  claimed group President Fred Voorhees.  “Wow…we are closing in on 200 different tracks now reaching across the country and into Canada!  Who would have thought?  For a while there, our driver and track submissions were running neck and neck as far as number, but the driver research projects are currently sitting at 174 different drivers.” Voorhees revealed.

Historian Tom Schmeh, a very recognized name since he served as Curator of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in Knoxville, Tennessee and now spends his time roaming the country visiting race tracks and gathering racing stats, recommended “Going National” to Voorhees a number of years ago and once the decision was made…the website just literally exploded.

“ARRA is becoming more and more respected across the country for its auto racing statistics and their reliability! Fred proudly stated.  “Back in July, I was honored by the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame with the Andrew S. Fusco Media Excellence Award based on the work we are doing here at ARRA.   Our work is now used extensively by fans, tracks, drivers, press members and televised auto racing coverage stations to gain interesting and informative statistics for their use.  I am quite proud of what has grown from just a little hobby back in the mid 90’s between myself and Co-Founder Bill Braga Jr. into what it is today.  I have dedicated my retirement to paying back the sport that has given me a lifetime of enjoyment and entertainment, not to mention so many close friends that I may have never met had it not been for attending auto racing events.”

Thanks to California’s Jim Thurman…ARRA continues to “Go National” and “Cover the Country” as far as auto racing stats are concerned and the over forty members look forward to reaching that lofty 200th different track to be submitted to their every growing website!
