Auto Racing Research Associates Adds Another Historian! Ringoes, NJ – Auto Racing Research Associates….ARRA, is proud to announce the addition of their latest historian. Dan St. Pierre becomes the 44th auto racing historian to become a member of the group of nationwide and into Canada auto racing historians, gathered together for the betterment of the sport of auto racing by researching, documenting and providing free of charge, statistics and data on a variety of subjects including driver careers, race track, series and organization histories, particular successful cars and car owners, special events and more! Their work is constantly being used by auto racing writers, columnists, on air television and radio programs, driving teams and track press agents to keep in touch with up to date and accurate racing statistics. “Dan came our way…kind of “fell into our laps’ here at ARRA, when historian Tom Schmeh was recently gathering stats for one of his current projects. Tom, being a former Curator of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum located on the grounds of the world famous Knoxville Speedway in Knoxville, Iowa. Tom has a literal “reference book” of racing contacts throughout the country and when Dan came into the picture, they began to talk, swap notes and Tom asked him if he would be interested in joining us at ARRA.” St. Pierre, a native of the great state of Maine, was honored to be asked and quickly agreed to join up with the ever growing group of dedicated historians and has already submitted his first effort to the groups website and it deals with former NASCAR driver Butch Lindley. ARRA President Fred Voorhees states on its newest member….”Dan and I have been communicating back and forth and he is very proud to join us at ARRA as he has been aware of the growing body of work that our group has been turning out and he is looking forward to move forward with other projects to submit for inclusion on our statistical website.
