ARRA Racing Statistical Website Adds 6 More Pages! Ringoes,NJ – ARRA – Auto Racing Research Associates are gearing up quickly now that the racing season across the country has pretty much come to a halt and they are digging in and beginning to turn out some off season research subjects! ARRA historians Thomas Schmeh, John Nelson, California’s Jim Thurman and ARRA “newbie” Dan St. Pierre have all made submissions over the past two weeks…adding six more researched and documented subject pages to their ever growing statistical website. “Yeah, I’m not surprised.” claimed ARRA President Fred Voorhees as he wrapped up a few hours worth of formatting some newer files to be added. “I myself am in the middle of hopefully bringing to a close soon, two different driver career research projects on two of our Northeast’s most promising young modified drivers…Alex Payne and Chris Raabe! I am really excited about these two as we here in the Northeast, currently enjoy a good amount of promising talent in our modified division and I want to get a head start on documenting this wave!” Schmeh, Nelson, Thurman and St. Pierre have recently submitted various files covering tracks Joliet Stadium and Veterans Memorial Stadium……Drivers Henry Gritzbach, Andy Phillps and Butch Lindley and Special racing event the Jayhawk Nationals. Just two weeks ago marked the first week since way back to around March that the website didn’t need a single statistic updated. “I have been working little by little on the files of both Alex Payne and Chris Raabe with their help and some others in our ARRA fold and I am hopefully close to wrapping both of them up because I am also beginning to do my annual audit of the website, going over all files to fill in any gaps that may have been missed and I wanted to “clear my calendar” to get on with the usual Wintertime tasks. In a few weeks, the season point tallies and champions will be illustrated in local racing paper Area Auto Racing News and that will take me a bit to update all of the files that will be impacted by those stats.” Voorhees revealed. “THEN, and I have to say THEN, Finally, I want to get the legendary “Wily” Will Cagle’s career stats page a place on our site! ARRA has had Will’s career stats on file for many years. With Will’s passing, I think its time to get his career memorialized on our website. It’s LONG overdue! The six recent submittals bring the researched Special Events total up to 19 subjects, the researched Tracks total up to 196 and the number of researched Drivers up to 177. Fans wishing to view the six new subjects can view them in their various areas on the ARRA website at: https://sites.google.com/site/arradocumentingracinghistory/ >Auto Racing Research Associates is a growing group of over forty auto racing historians across the country banded together for the purpose of the research, documentation and displaying of auto racing history such as driver win statistics, track, racing series and organizations histories and also the background of racing personalities, particular cars from the past and various other interesting facts of racing history that should not be forgotten.
