Auto Racing Research Associates Website Suffers Deletion from Web Ringoes,NJ – The Auto Racing Research Associates statistical website suffered a substantial loss Saturday evening when it was scrubbed mysteriously from the internet. President Fred Voorhees has already begun the process of putting things back in order. “It was a total mystery to me as to how it actually happened.” he stated, speaking about the weekend occurrence after he had spent a good portion of the day adding stats and updating many files as part of an annual audit of the site to keep it updated and current. “Upon notifying the over 40 ARRA historians across the country and into Canada, Voorhees found that his woe wasn’t just his. “ARRA historian Bill Ladabouche informed me that his website, which pays homage to the long gone Catamount Stadium in Vermont also suffered the same fate recently. While it helps in knowing that it probably wasn’t something that I did, but possibly a “glitch” in the internet, it still means a good amount of work for me to get this site back together!” While the thousands upon thousands of individual files making up the hundreds of subject pages on the site are safe and secure…erecting the site will be some work for a while. “All of our files are stored on “The Cloud” and remain untouched thankfully.” Fred noted. “Honestly, out of this adversity…will come improvement. I have wanted to fool around with the layout format of the site for a while and I guess this could be considered a blessing in disguise as I now have a reason to get to that job. I was able to recover the landing page of the website and the section that contained all of the drivers, cars and events we have documented. Pretty much everything else will need to be keyed back into the website. I have already discovered a method to prevent such damage from being done again to the site. I am implementing that as I began to work at rebuilding today. I have already gotten to start on inserting new pages for the Tracks, as can be seen if you click on that link for the Tracks section. I am just thankful that this happened when it did…during the beginning of the off season so I can fully concentrate on getting the site back up and running. Right now, I don’t have a realistic idea of how long it is fully back up and functioning, but I would have to say a month or two. It will take some steady work putting things back together.” Auto Racing Research Associates is a growing group of over forty auto racing historians across the country banded together for the purpose of the research, documentation and displaying of auto racing history such as driver win statistics, track, racing series and organizations histories and also the background of racing personalities, particular cars from the past and various other interesting facts of racing history that should not be forgotten. ARRA continues to build a network of associated auto racing related websites to unite for better chances of furthering the understanding of the past of our sport. ARRA offers looking up services for those looking for one particular piece of information from the past. They are the official statistics information source of the Flemington Speedway Historical Society and have been doing much of the research work for a number of years for the Northeast Dirt Modified Museum and Hall of Fame in Weedsport, NY. ARRA President, Fred Voorhees, was honored by the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame, located in the Weedsport, NY based Dirt Modified Museum for his work for ARRA in July of 2025, being awarded the Andrew S. Fusco Award for Media Excellence.
