ARRA Goes Abroad with New Historian and Files!!!

Ringoes,NJ – Always looking to “spread its wings”, the highly respected Auto Racing Research Associates group of national auto racing historians is proud to mark a historic point in their growth. Already having member historians in both the United States and Candad…the group of over forty historians are happy to recognize and welcome Mike Allen, an auto racing historian from Lincolnshire, UK!!!!!

“Out of the blue about a month ago, Mike emailed me because he had crossed paths with our website.” commented Fred Voorhees, President of the always growing database of auto racing statistics, ARRA Research. “He was interested in what we were about and if possible, to become a member of our group of outstanding historians I think I ‘bout drooled at the idea of spreading “across the pond” to England!”

“Mike explained to me that he had been doing his research for a number of years and wanted to expand his horizons”. Fred revealed. “I will let him explain”……….” I have published 2 books, one on the history of the Oulton Park Gold Cup, the second on Special Saloon racer Tony Sugden. I am 70% of the way through Volume 2 of the Gold Cup and am collecting data for a history of Mid Cheshire Motor Racing Club who helped create and run Oulton Park for 25 years and also a history of Special Saloons in the UK.”

Mike informed Fred that the research on auto racing in the UK can sometimes be difficult and that is why he contacted ARRA for possible help. “Motor Racing is poorly documented in general which makes research difficult, unlike Golf and Horse Racing for example, so anything I can do to help that I am up for.”

“I am thrilled to death about where ARRA is heading!” exclaimed Fred. “Wow..little did I know back in the mid 90’s when I hooked up with ARRA Co-Founder Bill Braga Jr. that down the road..we would become an international website with literally hundreds of subjects covered and growing at a phenomenal pace! I have to say…I am pretty damned proud of where we have come and proud of all of the brilliant historians within our group! I want to welcome Mike Allen with open arms and I look forward to what he has to offer. Race fans will find his special wing of the ARRA website on the landing page of the site under the “The UK Connection” icon. Click on the UK national flag and take a look at the extensive content. Tons of links to international auto racing and some pretty comprehensive research on the first two submissions!”
