ARRA Website back up to Full Speed!
Ringoes,NJ - At the end of November in 2025, the Auto Racing Research Associates – ARRA – racing statistical website suffered an unknown loss of much of its content, leaving many racing fans without access to the various sections of the always growing source for auto racing stats, facts and figures. “Its been a long four months.” claimed ARRA President Fred Voorhees from his ARRA office in his rural Ringoes, NJ office after wrapping up the final touches to get the site fully back to 100% operational. “I still remember realizing that the was a huge problem.” he continued. “While it was a major loss of site content…every file of every page was untouched on my cloud account. It still made for a ton of work, but at least I had all of the content. It was just a matter of re-building the site.” But there were some stumbling blocks in the learning process and for a month or so…Voorhees set the problem aside while the content of the site kept growing through submissions from the member historians. “The “Drivers” section survived unscathed, but much of the rest of the site was washed away from the internet. Then I found a couple of problems while attempting to set up new pages. Finally, about a month ago…during the slower Winter months and with that long stretch of frigid cold…I decided to get back at trying to get everything back.” Racing fan Hank Winecker had reminded someone on one of the local racing forums that the site had been hacked. “That prompted me to get in touch with Hank and ask him to lend me a hand in monitoring any progress I had in getting the site back in full operation. I couldn’t do it myself because the website platform would always recognize my computer as the one that fabricated the site and automatically displays anything that I myself entered. Many others were able to view much of the site, but others couldn’t. It was frustrating. That is where I brought in Hank.” Fred noted of the fan who gladly lent a hand. “I finally actually figured out a back door method of dealing with the problem of adding new pages. Hank was always quick to respond back to me with his verdicts on the site. I thank Hank profusely for his assistance!” Bottom line…the Auto Racing Research Associates website is back up and running full strength. Voorhees requests that anyone still having a problem get in contact with him to see if he can solve the deal. “There might be issues with individuals various website operating systems. “That I can’t fix for them.” Fred noted. “But I do urge anyone who notices any little glitch yet…to notify me to try to alleviate the deal. This site belongs to all racing fans. Its in the interest of all of us to keep it as smooth running and as accurate as possible. We here at ARRA are just the guys who make it available.” Racing fans who wish to view the “back behind the wheel” site can check it out here: https://sites.google.com/site/arradocumentingracinghistory/ Auto Racing Research Associates is a growing group of over forty auto racing historians across the country banded together for the purpose of the research, documentation and displaying of auto racing history such as driver win statistics, track, racing series and organizations histories and also the background of racing personalities, particular cars from the past and various other interesting facts of racing history that should not be forgotten.
