Sad to say, but NYMODFAN is right.
Thought: like they do in New Zealand with most racing. Draw for position for first heat. 8 lap heat. Invert the finish for second heat line up. Combined points of finishes for feature starting position. No changes between heats other than tire pressures. No fuel. Fans get more racing and drivers level off the luck of the draw.
